Life isn’t always easy especially when you’re navigating the emotional challenges of parenting, helping a teen through self-doubt, or working through stress in your relationships. Whether you’re facing a major life transition, blended family difficulties, or your teen is struggling with anxiety, therapy can help bring clarity, healing, and direction.
I’m Kacy Mathis, a Graduate Intern Counselor at Resilient Mind Counseling and Coaching. I work with teens, individuals, families, and couples across Baytown, Mont Belvieu, Dayton, and the Greater Houston Area, both in person and through online sessions across Texas.
Teen Therapy & Emotional Support
Teens often deal with anxiety, low self-esteem, academic pressure, and social challenges. I help preteens and adolescents build emotional awareness, confidence, and healthy coping skills in a space that’s safe, judgment-free, and empowering.
Individual Therapy for Adults
Life transitions, trauma, grief, and personal growth can feel overwhelming. I support adults in developing emotional resilience, navigating change, and rediscovering their strengths with a compassionate, goal-oriented approach.
Family Therapy & Blended Family Support
Families are dynamic and ever-changing. I help families improve communication, build connection, and manage the complexities of blended family relationships. Together, we work on real solutions that bring more harmony to your home.
Couples Counseling & Relationship Growth
Whether you’re going through a tough season or looking to strengthen your connection, couples counseling provides a space to address conflict, miscommunication, trust issues, or emotional distance. I help couples rebuild connection and create shared goals for the relationship.
My Approach
I use a strengths-based, collaborative approach to therapy, honoring your story while helping you gain tools for long-term growth. Whether working with a teen navigating identity and emotions, a parent looking for support, or a couple needing clarity, I tailor each session to your specific needs.
I am currently pursuing my Master’s Degree in Counseling at Lamar University, with an expected graduation in August 2025. Under the supervision of Kathryn Fayle, MA, LPC, NCC, CSAT, I uphold the highest ethical and professional standards while providing meaningful, client-focused care.
Issues I Commonly Help With:
Teen anxiety, self-esteem, and emotional regulation
Family stress, parenting support, and blended family dynamics
Relationship communication, conflict resolution, and trust repair
Grief, trauma, and life transitions
Let’s Take the First Step Together
If you or your family are ready to start the journey toward healing, I’d be honored to support you. Therapy can be a powerful tool for growth and change, and I’d love to walk with you on that path.
